GO-Global Licensing FAQ

1. Can I customize my license file?

   An evaluation license should not be modified, as it already is unlimited, open and applicable to any server or hostname. Any changes to the license file will typically make the license invalid. A permanent license is already pre-configured for your system(s) by our license generator. Any changes to this license file will also make the license invalid and a rehost form will be required.

2. How do I transfer my license to a different server/host?

3. Where can I find pricing to get more user licenses?

4. How can I combine multiple GO-Global for UNIX license files?

   GO-Global for UNIX license files (typically named license.dat) that are redeemed for the same hostid and hostname, can be combined (merged) into one license file. This is generally used to add additional concurrent licenses to an existing license. It is also used when individual single-user licenses have been delivered to an ISV to allow them to flexibly deploy them in various configurations over time. This method describes how such licenses can be combined into a single license file, making all of the purchased licenses available. If all of the license.dat files are issued to the same server (that is, they all specify the same hostid), then they may be merged as follows:

   i. Paste the entire contents from all the license files into a single license file.

   ii. Use a text editor to remove all but the first "SERVER" lines.
